Sport Wales Coach of the Year 2010 Awards

Wednesday 24th November 2010

Sport Wales National Center

Nominations are live - Visit http://www.sportwales.org.uk/news/coachoftheyear2010 to nominate now!

Coaches are at the heart of sport – whether it’s on the sidelines at the FA Cup Final or at Saturday morning five-a-side. And that’s why Sports Wales wants to recognise people at all levels – including the coach who works morning, noon and night at your local club.

Chair of Sports Wales, Professor Laura McAllister explains:

“Coaches are the lifeblood of Welsh sport, we can’t do without them. The calibre of coaches I come across on a regularly basis is absolutely outstanding. This is the public’s chance to show their appreciation for the people who put in hours and hours of work across the country.”

The award categories are:

Female Coach

Male Coach

Community Coach

Coach to disabled sportspeople

Young Coach/Leader

Elite Performance Coach

Volunteer of the year

Coach Educator of the Year

Lifetime Achievement

The deadline for nominations is Friday 1st October 2010 (with the exception of Elite Performance Coach which will be Friday 15th October).
