Cathays Awards Evening
At the Cathays High School Awards Evening on Wednesday 21st September 2011, the School Awarded two players from the Table Tennis Academy with awards.
Player of the Year went to Year 9 Gethin Jones for all his hard work over the season ans his commitment to the academy, Gethin is the first player to arrive at training and the last player to leave. This mentallity has helped Gethin to grow as a player and he is now part of the Academies School Welsh League team.
Most Imporoved player went to Ayman Alkateeb who has show huge promise and is directing his talent in a possitive manor and is really working hard to imporve his game, Ayman has great commitment and has a very bright future ahead of him.
Congratulations to both of these players and also to all of the High School Academy players!!

St.Mellons Table Tennis Club
St.Mellons Table Tennis Club kick starts back into action this week and will be in full flow after a summer holiday break. Players will now look to train and work hard towards the coming season and look to improve on their games.
St.Mellons Table Tennis Club is open to all abilities and ages. Running Junior Sessions and Senior Sessions. Both session will be running along side eachother.
Venue: St.Mellons Community Education Centre, Crickhowell Road, Cardiff, CF3 0EF
Time and Day: Every Wednesday 5.00pm-7.00pm
Cost: £2 Per Junior, £3 Per Adult
Coaches: Simon Oyler (SE Wales Regional Development Coach), Nathan Thomas (Welsh Assistant Coach), Sarah Taneeta (Table Tennis Leaders Coach)
Please feel free to come along and join in the fun.

It is going to be played on a two player per team format with 1v2, 2v1, Doubles, 1v1, 2v2.
There will be teams entering from all over Cardiff including Whitchurch and Cathays High School Academies, St.Mellons Table Tennis Club, The Vale Academy and also teams from the Cardiff Community Club.

After the summer break programmes start back this week with new clubs looking to get started and present Clubs and projects looking to grow stronger and push forward to become even more successful.
Cathays and Whitchurch Academies are pushing off the season entering the Team Championships of Wales, Cardiff Junior League and also Cardiff Schools League whilst having players train in regional squads.
Regional Squad get under way this week with a great mixture of talent and age. Centre of Excellence players will be training along side Welsh Academy members and also the Cardiff High Potantial Squad will be looking to learn from those older and more experianced players.
