Whitchurch High School held their Summer Primary Transition Day on Tuesday 14th June.
This gave Regional Coach Simon Oyler the oppotunity to Introduce Table Tennis to those primary school pupils who haven't yet had the opportunity to take part and enjoy the fine sport.
Thoughout the day over 120 primary pupils got the chance to get a taster of four subjects at the school, one being Table Tennis run by the Academy Programme at the school. These four sessions comprised of Bat Skills, Challenges and also Exhibitions from Regional Coach Simon Oyler and Welsh Coach Nathan Thomas who was on hand to help and give his support to these young children.
There was also a special guest apperance from Welsh National Coach Ryan Jenkins, who showed his support and shared some challenges with the young pupils.
These young children will be the new Year 7 pupils come September and will be some of the new players who will join the Table Tennis Academy Sessions run and the School.
