Welsh Primary Schools Team Travel to Southampton

The Welsh Primary School's team travelled to Southampton today for a training camp and friendly matches with ex Welsh Coach Aled Howell and his South England Region.

Aled Howell who now as a post for ETTA as South Regional Coach of England ran the training camp with over 20 tables and 40 players.

After a two hour training session it was time for the match to take place.

The boys found the going tough and lost 13-3.
Joseph Roberts- won 2 lost 2
Cade Short - won 1 lost 3
Joshua Stacey - lost 4 (losing 3 matches 3/2)
Harry Langley - lost 4 (losing one match 3/2)

The girls however competed very well and lost out 9-7
Lydia John - won 3 lost 1
Jamie lee - won 3 lost 1
Bethany Brewer - lost 4
Anna Hursey - won 1 lost 3

All players gave a good account of themselves but found the South East region too strong.

A big thank you to Aled Howell for inviting the Welsh team to this fantastic training camp.

Well done to all the players and good luck for the International Primary Schools Championships this weekend in Dublin.
